A new Hot Make Hot Break (HMHB) receptacle is being readied for shipment to Aberdeen and then a long life permanently mounted on a subsea on a manifold.
This receptacle provides a 2” 10Ksi access port with self-sealing plug and play capability. It will be used for hydraulic intervention, principally scale squeezing. It affords QCDC and EQD functionality.
As the industry continues to look for cost savings without compromising on safety, so interest continues to grow in the use of Secc’s HMHB mounted permanently onto subsea production systems.
Greener, cheaper and more flexible.
