Secc has built a strong track record of developing high-pressure 20,000psi Hot Stabs for some of the most demanding subsea operations worldwide. Building on this foundation, we are proud to announce that our API 17H Type 2 range has now been qualified in-house to 30,000 PSI working pressure, with successful testing carried out at 37,500 PSI (2,586 BAR).
What might appear to be a modest commodity Stab has in fact undergone extensive validation, enduring more than 1,000 operational cycles. The design was first verified through detailed engineering analysis – combining traditional hand calculations with advanced non-linear Finite Element Analysis (FEA) – to ensure full compliance with ASME BPVC Section VIII, Division 3 safety requirements. The results were then confirmed through comprehensive full-scale pressure and endurance testing.
This accomplishment reflects the depth of expertise within Secc’s Engineering and R&D teams, whose technical excellence and commitment to innovation made it possible.
