When planning subsea and/or marine offshore fluid transfer operations such as Riserless Light Well Intervention (RLWI) campaigns, Emergency Quick Disconnect (EQD) couplings are crucial for maintaining safe operations and protecting personnel and the environment.
Secc has built a strong reputation over the past twenty years for delivering quality EQD coupling products to the marine and subsea industries. It has and continues to demonstrate an unwavering commitment to safety, the environment and superior manufacturing standards.
As the market leading supplier of EQD couplings, Secc has a fleet of EQD Couplings available for rent.
Operations such as drilling, well intervention, well abandonment and decommissioning, fluid transfers from ship to well, well to ship and small-bore ship to ship all benefit from having Secc’s equipment ready and able to be deployed with immediate effect.
At Secc, we take a proactive approach to working with our global partners in solving connection and coupling challenges and delivering enhanced safety and performance. Renting from Secc provides customers with the confidence and flexibility to proceed with their operations on schedule at short notice, even if they do not have their own MLWL assets.
Secc’s fleet of medium and high pressure Midline Weak Link (MLWL) breakaway couplings are fully serviced, tested and certified appropriately. The MLWL couplings, flange adaptors and spares are available for short or long-term rent. All the equipment can be mobilised world-wide at short notice (subject to availability and location).
The Secc Midline Weak Link (MLWL), is a full-bore, pressure-balanced and zero leak Breakaway Coupling, valved as standard. Available on a rental basis (available up to 15,000 psi). Designed to be situated between two flexible hoses and able to breakaway in an emergency. The MLWL is set to disconnect at a customer specified break load. Secc stock a range of tension pins and can also manufacture custom tension pins at short notice.
