Secc has achieved a global first once more.

Following the delivery of the world’s first 15,000 psi qualified Emergency Quick Disconnect (EQD), Secc has accomplished qualification of a Hot Stab and Receptacle for working pressures of 20,000 psi.

Alongside its Quick Connect Disconnect Couplings (QCDC) and Emergency Quick Disconnect (EQD) solutions, Secc is a supplier of pressure balanced hot stabs and receptacles engineered to conform to ISO 13628-8 and its equivalent API 17H standard.

An innovative, high-strength handle mechanism differentiates Secc stabs from alternative designs. The improved handle does not incorporate any welds. It therefore resolves the inherent fatigue problems experienced with wire welded handle designs. Additionally, a unique anti-calcareous growth seal prevents marine growth build up between the stab and receptacle. This assures ease of disconnection after extended periods of subsea exposure.
