Secc Successfully Qualifies 10 KSI HIGHFLOW Hot Stabs and Receptacles to API 17G

15/07/2026

Secc is pleased to announce the successful qualification of another batch of its 10 KSI HIGHFLOW Hot Stabs and Receptacles, further demonstrating the reliability and proven performance of our subsea intervention technology.

The qualification program was completed in accordance with API 17G requirements and included a comprehensive verification process comprising advanced nonlinear finite element analysis (FEA), Hydrogen Induced Stress Cracking (HISC) assessment, and extensive physical qualification testing. The testing program included repeated pressure, mechanical loading and temperature cycles to validate performance under the demanding conditions encountered during offshore intervention operations.

Designed to deliver unrestricted flow with minimal pressure loss, Secc’s HIGHFLOW Hot Stabs provide a true full-bore solution where conventional hot stab designs can become a restriction. Their robust construction and proven sealing technology make them ideally suited to critical hydraulic and fluid transfer applications where reliability is essential.

The qualified products will be integrated into a subsea intervention system that is regularly deployed in the UK North Sea, where dependable performance and rapid deployment are vital to maintaining offshore operations. Having successfully completed qualification, the equipment provides operators with confidence that it can withstand the harsh mechanical and environmental demands associated with repeated subsea intervention campaigns.

At Secc, every qualification program is supported by rigorous engineering analysis, validation testing and quality assurance, ensuring our products continue to exceed industry expectations for safety, performance and longevity. Made possible with our dedicated engineering and R&D team.

Whether your project requires a standard API-compliant product or a fully bespoke engineered solution, Secc has the experience and technical capability to deliver reliable subsea connection systems for the world’s most demanding offshore environments.
